Karo “The Heat” Parisyan is banned from the UFC

Yesterday Dana White announced on his twitter that Karo “The Heat” Parisyan has pulled out of this saturdays UFC 106 event. Stating “Karo Parisyan has F’d over the UFC, his fans and his opponent again”. White said “He will not be fighting saturday or ever again in the UFC”. In a follow-up tweet after I’m sure he was bombarded with why is Karo not fighting questions, White wrote “Pulled out of the fight a day before weigh-ins again with a laundry list of excuses”.

So far the word/ rumor around the MMA world-wide web is the belief that Karo might be struggling with a drug addiction to pain killers. Karo (who was set to fight Dustin Hazelett this saturday at UFC 106) had problems in the his most recent fight when he won a controversal split decision over Kim Dong-hyun that was later overtuned (no contest) because an after fight drug test showed that he had tested positive for 3 types of painkillers. The Nevada State Athletic Commission then suspended him for 9 months leading up to his fight at UFC 106. So what’s with the shadyness of pulling out the day before weigh-ins?

Karo has since came out and said that he did not want to have to pay the $35 grand to the NSAC to be able to fight again. Seems more like a cop-out to me. It seems as if he does have an addiction problem that he may need to work out and Dana White may have to understand and not shun but offer help. Pulling out at the last-minute to me seems like he doesn’t want to go thru the whole ordeal twice aswell as with the NSAC. Who would? I’m sure the UFC wouldn’t.
