Now for my picks for each of the 18 categories………

Fighter of the year: Lyoto Machida – As it has been said before, this is the “Machida era” and after KOing Rashad Evans, I don’t see anyone beating this man anytime soon.

Fight of the year: Clay Guida vs Diego Sanchez at TUF 9 finale – This was an all out war between two agressive dudes that ended up very bloody while still going the distance. This fight was very similar to the famous Forrest Griffen/ Stephan Bonnar fight.

KO of the year: Dan Henderson vs Michael Bisping at UFC 100 – This KO was just so viscious that I don’t think any fan will ever forget it. Check it out below.

Submission of the year: Damian Maia vs Chael Sonnen at UFC 95 – Damian Maia plays around with heavyweights in the jiu jitsu game and he showed remarkable skills against vetern fighter Chael Sonnen with a triangle choke.

Best Promotion: UFC – Do I need an explanation here?

Leading man of the year: Lorenzo Fertitta UFC CEO – Lorenzo not only being an owner of the UFC decided this year that he would be helping out with decisions with the UFC which has been very helpful in getting Dana White to see a different side of things. After Lorenzo jumped on board Dana and Tito squashed the beef and also got Dana and Mirko Cro Cop to do the same aswell.

European figther of the year: Gegard Mousasi – Gegard so far has had two big wins this year that both ended in the first round. He defeated lengendary veteran fighter Mark Hunt aswell as the very tough Babalu Sobral. He has another fight set for nov 7th with a fighter yet to be named and everyone should look foreward to that.

Breakthrough fighter of the year: Brock Lesnar – Just like Lyoto Machida, Lesnar could have potentially started his own “era”. With only 5 MMA fights under his belt, Lesnar “broke out” and became the UFC heavyweight champion by dominating the very tough Frank Mir.

Female fighter of the year: Cris “Cyborg” Santos – I don’t like womans MMA but I vote for her because she beat the hell out of Gina Carana who is the face of womans MMA.

Coach of the year: Greg Jackson – Greg Jackson has win percentage of 81% in his camp. That says it all.

Ring Girl of the year: Logan Stanton – Logan Stanton is new to the roster and at 20, she is only a year younger than I so I am most likely bias here.

Gym of the year: Greg Jackson’s Submission Camp – Greg Jackson has win percentage of 81% in his camp. With a star roster with the likes of Georges St Pierre, Nathan Marquardt, Rashad Evans and Keith Jardine, this camp knows how to win.

Best MMA Brand: TapouT – TapouT is still MMA’s most recognizable brand.

Best overall MMA clothing manufacturer: Affliction – The clothing has the sickest designs aswell as being very well made.

Best MMA gloves manufacturer: Triumph United – Since all MMA gloves are extremely similar, I am going by label and design.

Best shorts manufacturer: Warrior – I never have seen better shorts than the ones that Warrior makes.

Best media source: MMAJunkie.com – Just like my info for the nominees a lot of the information that I base my posts on are from http://www.mmajunkie.com . They have been a lifesaver for me to keep up with all your MMA needs.

Best MMA journalist: John Morgan of MMAJunkie/ Dallas Morning News – Dude asks all the right questions.

Well those are my picks/ votes and you can vote aswell if you go to http://www.worldmmaawards.com
